I am sitting here this morning in my pj's with a hot cup of coffee watching this wonderful rain sent from heaven. I hear the thunder, but I do the counting trick my Mom taught me as a child and I know that the storm is still miles away from where I sit. As I watch the shower out my window I notice the yard debris and road grime is being washed away as if it was never even there. The streets are shiny and freshly cleaned, and the grass is greener than it was just seconds ago. This is how I view Gods forgiveness! When he sent his only Son to die on the cross for my sin..it was washed away...forgotten...as if it was never there! I am a new creature in Him, fresh and renewed every day! What an amazing knowledge that is!!
1 John 2:1-2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
